Annamaya Kosha. The physical sheath.

In this 25-minute vinyasa we’ll be connecting to our physical sheath, annamaya kosha. As well as being about the physical body in the way we can see it, annamaya kosha is about how we nourish the body with food and drink, how we move the body and how we feel as deep down as the bones.

Today, we journey inwards, letting go of any unwanted tension in the body and any anxious energy. Move with how you feel and cultivate a sense of peace in your soul by the end of the class. The perfect short session to release the emotions and body, ready for sleep.

This 25 minute sequence will open the heart space, soften the whole body and will prepare you soul for sleep. By adjusting to surrender and being open to receiving, we can be more aligned with acceptance, rather than forcing what we think should come next

Heart opening flow (lovely for posture)

A beautiful heart opening sequence. As with any heart opening and back bending flow, just be aware of any niggles in the lower back and know when you’ve reached your limit. Breathe into the heart, feeling yourself lift higher.

Chakra series 5: Vishuddha, the throat chakra.

The Throat Chakra is associated with the colour bright blue. Blue energy is pure, soothing, calming, and healing and connects a person with the divine. When the energy of the Vishuddha Chakra is imbalanced, communication breaks down. We refuse to listen to our inner Self and to others. Others are unable to understand us and feelings of loneliness surround us. The element associated is sound.
