I encourage you to come back to this practice whenever you need and even when you don’t need – to help manage stress and anxiety that arises. Today we sooth the nervous system and shift into a calmer more restful place x
Dynamic Vinyasa Flow
A 45-minute dynamic and energising vinyasa flow. Lean into playfulness, compassion and challenge your inner strength while we flow. This sequence is a mixture of balances, strength, hip & heart openers. Enjoy!
Honouring the shadows flow
Today we tap into all the unmet parts of the body, feeling strong and powerful. Let’s honour every part of the body for what it is, seeing the shadows, the darker parts and find love and acceptance for it all. Expect some warriors and chaturangas in this dynamic hug for your body and soul!
Flexibility & Mobility Flow
In this 30 minute flow we will be working on our flexibility & mobility. This can be a practice that you come back to again and again, perfect as an energising morning stretch.
PLEASE NOTE… My mistake! I forget to do the deep quad stretch from low lunge position on the left side – feel free to pause me during the practice and pop it in on the left also. My apologies, I didn’t notice until I uploaded it.
Soft & Strong Flow
Expect a soft strength to this practice as we flow through the full body. Please enjoy x
Anandamaya kosha. The Bliss sheath.
The Anandamaya kosha is referred to as the bliss body. It’s the deepest and subtlest of all layers — so much so that some people even say you can’t use words to describe it. Instead, it must be felt and experienced. As you move on your mat today, feel into the transitions, the moments in between, the deeper journey, rather than just the end goal. As always, lean into what YOU need today.
I think this lady explains the Koshas very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_W2EXzGzt0
Vijnanamaya kosha. The wisdom sheath.
Today is all about intuition and focusing your attention on what feels good. Be opened minded as you explore this practice and your body, surrender and let go to all that is not serving you.
Manomaya Kosha. The mental sheath.
Manomaya Kosha.. Manas is a Sanskrit word for mind. We looked at the physical body in the Annamaya Kosha, then the energetic body in the Pranamaya Kosha and now we bring awareness to the mind. Our thoughts, emotions, memories, decisions and intellect are directed by the manomaya kosha. In today’s practice we bring focus and clarity to the mind with meditation. I hope this is good to you x
Pranamaya Kosha. The life force energy.
To develop the pranamaya kosha, breath awareness must be cultivated. In today’s class we will continually bring our attention to the breath. Let your focus deepen as you become aware of how your body moves in response to your breath, and how your breath feels throughout the practice. Let that awareness follow you off the mat and into your life.
Annamaya Kosha. The physical sheath.
In this 25-minute vinyasa we’ll be connecting to our physical sheath, annamaya kosha. As well as being about the physical body in the way we can see it, annamaya kosha is about how we nourish the body with food and drink, how we move the body and how we feel as deep down as the bones.
