In this practice, we’ll stretch and strength all the way down the posterior chain focusing on our stabilising muscles and lengthening out the whole back body. This is great flow to come back to on a regular basis, especially if you’re quad dominant and do a lot of lower body workouts.
A spicy power flow
Short & spicy. Igniting our sense of power with a fiery dynamic practice. Enjoy and take pauses when you need to.
Heart opening flow (lovely for posture)
A beautiful heart opening sequence. As with any heart opening and back bending flow, just be aware of any niggles in the lower back and know when you’ve reached your limit. Breathe into the heart, feeling yourself lift higher.
Empowering energising flow
Highly recommend doing this class first thing in the morning, waking up energised! We will tap into our own empowering energy and allow it to carry us through this practice, connecting to a sense of playfulness and aliveness as we go.
Active hips flow
To connect with our masculine energy we’ll be moving through an active hips flow. There will be a few passive moments throughout, but feel free to take some extra pause moments if you need them. This practice will leave your hips feeling strong, open, mobile and alive!
Space for slowness
Finding some ground and space for slowness can often be more challenging than the vinyasa styles practices. It can be tough to come off of the hamster wheel of life and cultivate some calm. I believe this is a very important practice for us all. In this practice we breathe and check in with our body and emotions.
We float, we fly, we fall.
It’s time to be playful and surrender to all of those niggles and frustrations that arise when we try to balance. Ultimately balance is a constant give and take, balance doesn’t stay still, balance isn’t linear and balance is something that we are continuously learning from. Allow the words “acceptance” and “surrender” to wash over you as we flow.
Yin Yang Flow
Working with both the masculine and feminine energy. Starting dynamic and then on to a more grounding yin style practice.
Super sun sals vinyasa flow
I absolutely love today’s yoga flow, so I hope you do to! Taking something as simple as a sun salutation and jazzing it up a bit to find some strength and power is one of my favourite ways to practice. As always, take pauses in child’s pose when you need to and stay connected to the breath.
Chakra series 7: Sahasrara, the crown chakra.
Associated with the element of thought, this energy center controls your connection to spirit, as well as your sense of universal consciousness, wisdom, unity, and self-knowledge. Its associated colour is violet, reflective of its connection to spirituality and enlightenment. When your crown chakra is blocked, you may experience some mental signs, including confusion, a lack of connection to the world, poor mental functioning and a lack of focus.
